Dad and Mum's favourite activity is to hunt down supermarkets and do grocery shopping, just as if they never left Singapore teehee =)

Shanghainese Pot Sticklers

Took the red eye flight to Shanghai for work this week and our room wasn't ready so we headed out to a nearby coffee shop to have sheng jian bao for breakfast. I started eating the moment they were served and forgot to take pictures. A plate of 4 for 6 yuan ($1.20). Really yummy until my shanghainese colleague commented that the soup inside comes about when the fats in the minced pork filling gets steamed.

Shanghai Sidewalk

Chestnuts a-roasting, alongside other fruit and nut peddlers outside Xin Wang where we had lunch every day cos it was near the office building we were working at in Shanghai.

That's Xin Wang at the corner of the sidewalk, don't think it's in any way affiliated to the one back home.

And nope, this isn't my colleague in case you were wondering. He is a random passer-by who happened to get caught by my iPhone camera.

Shanghai Scenes

First of a couple of upcoming worktrips in Shanghai over September and possibly October.

Casement windows along the corridor of the office building we were working in.

Love those hinges!
