Bali - Seminyak 29-30 Dec 09

cont'd from ubud

Ulin Villas
Of private pools, butler breakfasts and bubble baths...

Cafe Bali
Loved this cafe. And the vanilla ice-cream. Yums.

Shopping in Seminyak
Not cheap cos most of the shops were owned by foreigners from Spain, Australia, States etc etc. But very nicely designed.

teehee...

The Tuck Shop
Escaping the heat from outside and cooling off with a thirst-quenching san pellegrino.

Uluwatu
Pura Luhur Uluwatu - splendid sunset view with the temple on the cliff in silhouette. One of the best!

Beware of pesky monkeys on the prowl to snatch your cameras and spectacles.

Gado-Gado
Gado-Gado - excellent beach front dining. The interior's crap though, but who wants to sit indoors when you can dine under the stars next to the beach with the waves crashing against the shore.

Beef Carparcio

Grilled barramundi with mushroom risotto

Love the sound of waves crashing against the shore in the darkness.

My camera's crap at night shots :(

It's really great to come back to a nice pool villa. I could totally get used to this. Die.

The bubble bath was fun but seriously as i was watching the volume of water rushing to fill the tub, i couldn't help but feel like i'm commiting a terrible sin of wastefulness so it kinda lessened the joy of having a bubble bath. I kept thinking how the water could be recycled somehow. Don't think i'd be doing this often.

Having a butler come in half an hour earlier to cook breakfast and lay it all out nicely on the breakfast table when you wake up was delightful.

The birds wanna have some fun too. Check out that plump little fella!

And all too soon it was time to leave.

More shopping in Seminyak

Wooden door on glass shopfront. Pretty cool huh.

Lunch at Seminyak Square
Nasi Campur Special

Somebody's really thirsty...

Absolut Diesel. How about that?

Ku De Ta
Overrated, imo.

Seminyak Beach
Too bad it rained just before we headed out to the beach so the sand was a damp brown, but the waves were great though...

Till next time...

Featuring travel buddies Poh Ling & Grace.
