Brisbane - Sun 9 Aug 09

Walked down Charlotte Street to the Eagle Street Pier for the Sunday Riverside Markets.

Took the City Cat across the Brisbane River to Southbank Parklands. Story Bridge in the background. Found ourselves shopping at another festive sunday market called the Lifestyle Market at Stanley Street Plaza yay! oh plus not forgetting the man-made beach in the centre of nowhere!

Southbank Train Station, next stop Chinatown, more commonly known as Fortitude Valley and essentially made up of 2 streets, Brunswick Street and Duncan Street.

Dim Sum lunch at King of Kings. Mystery of the appearance of the third teapot still unsolved.

Browsing wall decals at Chinatown Market. Bird Cage sold out sob sob... settled for Bird on Branch instead!

Anzac Square and gardens. Love the sight of sprawling couples on the grass!

Grilled chicken and chips at Nandos, which was just below our apartment, for dinner.

Drove up Mount Cootha lookout for night view of the Brisbane skyline with HY and Joy after dinner. Freezing!!!

Felt like having supper but most places were closed so Joy suggested coffee at Milton, which was somewhat like a cross between our Holland Village and Dempsey. Pretty nice place to hang out too. We had super thick italian hot chocolate and crepes at La Dolce Vita Cafe. Supreme!
