Had the opportunity to travel to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for work and here are some pics of local cuisine, coffee and a chance wedding we spotted on the way back from the client's office.

Emerald, Queensland

Nogoa River

I'm being introduced to yabbie-catching in rivers and creeks. Unfortunately after coming back the next day and the next day, there were none in our nets. A yabby is some sort of crayfish also known as red-claw here.

Lake Maraboon 

is actually a dam called Fairbairn Dam about 15 minutes drive from Emerald. I googled its stats and it has some 15,000 ha surface area with a deepest point of 31.7m. Maraboon is aboriginal for "where the black ducks fly" although we didn't come across any. Beautiful place, nevertheless.
